Dave Robinson

Dave Robinson is one of the greatest linebackers in Green Bay Packers history and a cornerstone of the franchise’s legendary championship teams of the 1960s. A native of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, Robinson played college football at Penn State before being selected by the Packers in the first round of the 1963 NFL Draft. He quickly became a dominant force on defense under head coach Vince Lombardi, combining strength, speed, and intelligence to excel at the linebacker position.

During his nine seasons with the Packers, Robinson was a key contributor to one of the most successful dynasties in professional football. He helped lead Green Bay to three NFL championships and victories in Super Bowl I and Super Bowl II. A six-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time First-Team All-Pro, Robinson was widely respected for his leadership and ability to disrupt opposing offenses. He later continued his career with the Washington Redskins, earning a Super Bowl VII championship to further solidify his legacy.

Beyond his playing accomplishments, Dave Robinson’s impact on the game extended to coaching, broadcasting, and leadership within the football community.
