Marques Johnson is one of the most electrifying and influential players in Milwaukee Bucks history, known for his scoring prowess, versatility, and flair on the court. A native of Los Angeles, California, Johnson starred at UCLA under legendary coach John Wooden, where he was a two-time consensus All-American and a key contributor to the Bruins’ national championship teams. Selected third overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1977 NBA Draft, Johnson quickly became a cornerstone of the franchise and one of the NBA’s premier forwards.

During his seven seasons with the Bucks, Johnson was a five-time NBA All-Star and a three-time member of the All-NBA First Team. He helped lead Milwaukee to consistent playoff success in the late 1970s and early 1980s, forming a dynamic core that kept the Bucks among the league’s elite. Known for his smooth scoring ability and creativity, Johnson later transitioned into broadcasting and acting, continuing to make an impact beyond his playing career.
