Prince Fielder
Inducted in 2024
Prince Fielder is one of the most powerful and recognizable hitters in Major League Baseball and a central figure in Milwaukee Brewers history. A native of Ontario, California, and the son of former MLB All-Star Cecil Fielder, Prince was selected by the Brewers with the seventh overall pick in the 2002 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut in 2005 and quickly became a fan favorite in Wisconsin, known for his prodigious home run power, durability, and infectious personality.
During his tenure with Milwaukee from 2005 to 2011, Fielder established himself as one of baseball’s elite sluggers. He was a six-time All-Star, three-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and a key contributor to the Brewers’ 2011 National League Central Division championship and playoff run. In 2007, he hit 50 home runs, becoming the youngest player in National League history to reach that milestone. Fielder’s combination of power, plate discipline, and consistency made him the centerpiece of the Brewers’ lineup for more than half a decade.
Beyond his on-field achievements, Prince Fielder left a lasting impact on the Brewers organization and the state of Wisconsin. His leadership, competitive fire, and connection with fans helped usher in one of the most successful eras in franchise history. Although a neck injury forced him to retire prematurely, Fielder’s career accomplishments and influence on the game remain significant.
